Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nebraska
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
Unit Details
- PCU
- 35 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 1:4–5
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring needs
- RN titration of drips is required
Scheduling and Work Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- Every third holiday required
- No call or standby
- Floating may include medical floors, ICU, or rehab
- First week is onboarding, followed by 1–2 days of unit orientation
Additional Notes
- Fast-paced unit
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- Candidates must live outside the 50-mile radius and may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
- RTO must be submitted upfront; up to 7 days is allowed for the 13-week contract
