Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room

Location

Springfield, Oregon

Employment Type

Contract Length

13 weeks

Work Schedule

8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Call required

Job Description

Prepare the operating room including the sterile field
Set up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
Manage surgical equipment and sterile field simultaneously
Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential obtained by completing a CAAHEP-accredited or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program and passing the national CST exam
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, including experience within the last year
At least 2 years of total travel experience as a surgical technologist
Certified Surgical Technologist experience

Additional Information

This position is critical to maintain core staffing and prevent burnout due to call burden
A new permanent CST is in training but cannot cover call or work independently, so this travel role remains essential
