RN - Orthopedic Surgery

Overview

  • Travel RN position in Denver, Colorado
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS
  • 2 years of Orthopedics experience
  • Orthopedics experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Med Surg experience

Preferred Experience

  • ACLS
  • Orthopedic/spine experience
  • Medical-surgical experience

Unit Details

  • Orthopedic/medical unit with two 18-bed units
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4:1 for spine and 5:1 for orthopedic patients
  • Common equipment includes telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, ice machines, and Sara Steady

Common Procedures

  • Central line care
  • Blood transfusions
  • Foley and straight catheterization

  • Team-oriented setting
