Role

Travel RN for IR – Special Procedures.

Unit

IR – Special Procedures (727), based on the 1st floor in the Main building.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
Interventional Radiology (2 years of experience)
ACLS
BLS
Experience working with Neuro patients

Unit Details

5 labs
Staffing is typically 1 RN plus 1–2 techs per case, depending on complexity
Patient ratio in holding is 1:4, depending on acuity
GE Imaging equipment
Meditech Expanse documentation system
Call requirement: 7 shifts per month, with arrival in less than 30 minutes when called in

Full scope of interventional radiology procedures, including structural cases such as TAVR and Mitra Clip
Carotid stenting
Peripheral arterial cases
Lumbar punctures
Paras
Thoras
Drains
Ports
DSA
Neuros

Additional Notes

Surgical scrubs are provided by the unit

I worked in the Respiratory department. The Respiratory manager Alex was a fantastic woman. She does all the on boarding education and she’s your number one person to call for any clinical information scheduling information. She was fantastic.

They need to upgrade their RT equipment and their charting system
