Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Call Requirements: On call >12 days, including weekends

Job Description

• Work in the Cath Lab with a focus on Interventional Cardiology
• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including:

  • Vascular embolization
  • Ports
  • Vascular stenting
  • Nephrostomy tube management
• Occasional IR (Interventional Radiology) procedures and float to IR as needed
• Cover additional areas such as Cath Lab, Stress Testing, TEE, and Tilt Table testing
• Patient population: Adult
• Equipment used includes GE fluoroscopy and hemodynamics systems (transitioning to CHANGE)
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience with vascular embolization, ports, vascular stenting, and nephrostomy tube management
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
• Ability to work as a team player

Unit Information

• Department: Cath Lab
• Number of Beds: 90
• Role includes collaboration with Scrub Techs (RRT or RCIS)
• Orientation provided bi-weekly
• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs

Additional Notes

• Candidate must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
