Unit Information

  • Critical Care / Intensivist unit
  • 3 beds, staffed by 3 RNs (2 day shift, 1 night shift)
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • Equipment used: Bard 3CG
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kansas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of vascular access experience, including recent experience within the last year
  • Experience in RN - Vascular Medicine
  • Acute care experience
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Meditech EMR experience
  • PICC line certification
  • Pediatric experience
  • Ultrasound experience

Typical Procedures

  • PICC insertion and care
  • Powerglide, midline, and vein insertion

Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • Strong, independent worker
  • Positive patient care experience
