Unit Information

Critical Care / Intensivist unit
3 beds, staffed by 3 RNs (2 day shift, 1 night shift)
Patient ratio: 1:1
Equipment used: Bard 3CG
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of vascular access experience, including recent experience within the last year
Experience in RN - Vascular Medicine
Acute care experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Meditech EMR experience
PICC line certification
Pediatric experience
Ultrasound experience

Typical Procedures

PICC insertion and care
Powerglide, midline, and vein insertion

Positive patient care experience
