Bradenton lies on Florida's beautiful Gulf coast, just under 50 miles south of Tampa. Visitors and locals alike enjoy countless white sandy beaches throughout the area, from tranquil to lively stretches. Bean Point at the tip of Anna Maria Island is wonderfully quiet and secluded, offering stunning views of the bay's emerald waters and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge that hovers above. Manatee Beach is ideal for a fun day with grills, picnic tables and a beach cafe. Visitors can often spot dolphins, manatees and egrets from either spot. For fishing fans, Bradenton is a great place to catch smallmouth and largemouth bass, bream and crappie. Riverwalk spans the downtown area and serves as the outdoor gathering place, overlooking the Manatee River.
