Overview

• Travel assignment in Denver, Colorado
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• 7P–7A shift
• Rehab Unit / (617), 4th floor Acute Rehab, Main building
• 27 beds
• Patient ratio: 5:1

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in rehab nursing or orthopedic
• Experience in Neuro or trauma nursing

Unit Details

• Staff includes RNs, PCTs, nurse externs, social workers, and patient coordinators
• Equipment includes iMobile on iPhones, gait belts, bed alarms, IV pumps, wound vacs, Hoyer lifts, and Welch-Allyn vitals machines
• EMR: Meditech
• Common care includes medication administration, safe ambulation and toileting, charting, central line dressing changes, catheter care, peri-care, wound care, wet-to-dry dressing changes, wound vac management, blood administration, pain management, neuro checks, stroke-rehabilitation care, vital signs, blood sugar checks, and telemetry

Work Environment

• Freshly renovated rehab unit
• In-house in a Level 1 trauma center
• Works closely with acute care areas, rapid response, stroke team, and PT/OT/ST
• Supportive, relaxed, and collaborative culture
