Overview

• Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri.
• Floor: Surgical 3B.
• 1 opening.
• Nights, 1900-0700.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48.
• Assignment length: 13 weeks.
• Weekend hours as required by facility.
• No call requirements.
• Float on a rotational basis.
• Auto-offer.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Telemetry experience within the last year.
• 1 year of telemetry experience.
• Experience in an inpatient setting.
• Driver's License.
• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications.
• 4 trauma credits, or completion within the first two weeks from start.
• NIHSS, obtained prior to start.
• Flu vaccination or Mercy approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS from AHA only.
• Trauma experience.
• Inpatient only.

Unit Details

• 32 beds.
• Patient ratios vary: days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:8.
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, telemetry, and lift equipment.
• Patient population: Specialty Surgery – GI/GU/ENT/Urology.

Additional Notes

• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week.
• RTO must be made up on the back end and is not approved in the first week of assignment.
• Holiday RTO: 1 request per assignment.
• Blocked scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements.
• Scrub color: Black.
• Unacceptable attire includes torn clothes, open-toed shoes, and not wearing scrubs.
