Respiratory Therapist

Overview

Travel role in Portland, Maine
Specialty: Respiratory Therapy
Contract length: 26 weeks
Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
Shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Call required: 2 hours for the oncoming shift
Weekend hours: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
Tertiary, teaching hospital experience
Level 1 trauma experience

Clinical Experience

Float coverage includes NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, adult acute care, and adult critical care

Preferred Experience

NICU/PICU
Cardiothoracic

Unit Notes

Patient ratios: acute 1:25; critical 1:8
Team covers the entire facility with 14–16 respiratory therapists
Scrubs are provided or flexible
