Unit Details

• 15-bed unit
• 4:1 patient ratio
• 1–2 LNA support
• Central monitor station
• Cardiovascular and vascular surgery specialty

Schedule

• 12 shifts per month
• 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating occurs on a rotation basis, with travelers floating first

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Strong telemetry skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive medications (levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, dobutamine)
• Chest tube management

Preferred Experience

• Arterial lines
• Flo-Tracs
• Temporary pacing

Clinical Environment

• GE monitors
• Hamilton Bipap and Hiflo
• Baxter IV pumps
• Hemospheres
• Meditech Expanse documentation system

Procedures on the Unit

• Temporary pacing
• Pre-op prep for cardiovascular surgery
• Chest-tube removal
• Arterial line removal

Additional Notes

• Bedside shift report is completed at each change of shift
• MyCare board is updated each shift during bedside shift report
• Scrubs may be any color
