ICU Registered Nurse

Location

  • New York, New York

Contract

  • 5 weeks
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Schedule: 3x12 with every other weekend; a 4th shift is required per month

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 2 years of critical care or telemetry experience
  • 2 years of RN experience
  • 1 year of travel experience

Experience Preferences

  • Prior travel experience is required for travel positions
  • EPIC experience is highly preferred

  • ICU
  • 8-bed unit
  • Average unit census: 8
  • Staffing ratio: 1:2

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care in the ICU
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and evaluation
  • Educates patients and caregivers
  • Supports patient experience initiatives, quality improvement, and safety practices
  • May perform charge nurse duties
  • Documents care accurately and thoroughly
