Overview

Staff registered nurse responsible for providing patient care, completing assessments, developing and updating care plans, documenting nursing care, and responding to changes in patient status.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
DOU - Direct Observation Unit (1 year of experience)
DOU - Direct Observation Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Trauma experience
Experience with Epic

Education

ASN required

Preferred Education

BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans
Implement nursing interventions and patient care procedures
Maintain accurate nursing documentation
Assess IV sites every 4 hours and start new IVs per policy
Identify changes in patient status and respond appropriately
Maintain documentation standards and attend required staff meetings
