Cath Lab Technician - Cedar Park, Texas (LTA Contract)

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform active physiological monitoring (heart rate, rhythm, pressures, saturations) and anticipate changes during cases.
• Conduct patient testing/monitoring including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, and hemodynamic calculations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedures and proper equipment handling/asepsis.
• Assist with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure clean-up, ensuring infection control.
• Provide post-procedure patient education regarding monitoring and catheter insertion site care.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS Provider (American Heart Association) – Required
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Required
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred (American Heart Association)

Experience Requirements

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
• Resume/Profile submission required.
• Two professional references required prior to first assignment.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender Registry.
• Completion of specialty exam with minimum 80% passing score prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years.
• Completion of core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) with minimum 80% score, updated yearly.
• Health and immunization requirements including:

  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (mask required if declined)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing with annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start)
  • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to assignment, updated annually
• Drug screening: 12 panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
• Employment verification for past 7 years, updated annually.
• Skills checklist for specialty completed within one year of start and updated annually.

• Some onboarding forms and attestations must be completed and uploaded by the agency or onsite.
• Professional and personal health documentation must be current and compliant with facility and regulatory standards.

This position is suitable for experienced Cath Lab Technicians who hold the RCIS credential and meet the outlined certification and health requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
