Job Description

• Orientation: Auto Offer Bi-Weekly Orientation
• Float Required: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month or every other weekend
• Patient Ratios:

  • 1:1 in CVICU
  • 1:2-3 in ICU
• Time Off Policy: Travelers requesting time off during holidays will not be accommodated.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS - Basic Life Support
• NIHSS - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
• Additional Certifications:

  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Other unit-specific certifications as required

Competencies

• Core Competencies: Must pass with a minimum of 80% and updated annually.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for all RNs within 12 months of start.

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Must be completed within 45 days of start.
• Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray: Required within a year of start.
• Vaccination Records:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu Vaccine (required for specific start dates)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (two doses required)

Background Check

• Must be completed within 45 days of start and updated annually.

References

• Two supervisory references required, completed within 3 years of start date.

Application Requirements

• 7 Year Work History required with no gaps over 30 days without explanation.
• List nursing license state, license number, and expiration date.

Additional Information

• All certifications must be current and not expire within 45 days of assignment start date.
