Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract Position

Job Description

  • Endoscopy experience required, including:
    • EGD, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy, ERCP, Endoflip, ESD, POEM
    • Bronchoscopy (robotic assisted), rigid bronchs with stents, EBUS
    • Advanced endoscopy procedures such as ERCP, EUS, Double Balloon, POEM, ION Robot, Motility (PH impedance, ATMOS pill cam, Bravo) – both performing and reading
  • Work hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • No calls, no weekends, no holiday return to office (RTO)

Required Certifications

  • CPR (acceptable in lieu of BLS for LPNs, CNAs, and unlicensed candidates)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – based on job description
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – based on job description
  • State License – copy and verification required prior to start
  • Tech Certification – if applicable

Required Background and Compliance Checks

  • Background check within 30 days of start, including:
    • SSN Trace, Death Index Search, Maiden & Alias Name Search
    • County or Statewide Level (past 7 years residences)
    • National Sex Offender Registry, National Criminal Database, Federal Criminal Court
    • FACIS Level 3
    • DMV Motor Vehicle Record (if position requires a driver’s license)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List Search – required within 30 days of start and monthly thereafter
  • Education verification of highest level related to job requirements
  • FACIS Screening (Fraud and Abuse Control Information System) Level 1M monthly

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or approved declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray annually (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Vaccination or immunity documentation for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (full vaccination series or positive antibody titer)
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination with mask requirement during flu season
  • Drug testing (standard 10 panel) prior to first assignment and if break in service

Additional Requirements

  • References required prior to start
  • Employment verification for the last 7 years required
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Day shift only (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • No weekends, no call, no holiday work
