Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Ponca City, Oklahoma
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

• Position requires working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on night shifts.
• Clinician may be required to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
• Charting system used: Epic.
• No local candidates accepted; local radius rule is 75 miles.
• No block scheduling accommodations.
• No pending state licenses accepted.
• No more than 5 days of Return to Office (RTO) allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Must submit a utility bill in candidate’s name with matching address dated within the last 3 months; address must be more than 75 miles from contracted facility.
• Must complete facility-specific orientation including Patient Care Orientation Class and Epic training if no Epic experience within 6 months.
• Must complete facility-required acknowledgments and policy forms prior to start (e.g., Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, Information Access Agreement).
• Must complete fingerprinting and state screening clearance prior to start.
• References: Two former direct supervisor references required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years).
• Employment history verification covering 10 years including international positions and explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Skills checklist aligned with competency exams, updated annually.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not accepted for first-time travelers; candidate must have completed at least 2 years ICU experience but no explicit prior travel experience requirement stated.
• Candidate must be able to work night shifts as scheduled.
• Floating within scope may be required.
