Overview
- Travel/contract role in Seward, Alaska

- Start date: ASAP
- Assignment length: 13 weeks or 26 weeks, traveler’s choice
- Shift options: 4x12 variable or 3x12 variable
- Shift timing: days or nights, based on facility needs at start
- Patient ratio: 1:20
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license not accepted
- On-call not required
- Floating within scope may be required
- Block scheduling not available
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Long Term Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of Long Term Care experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule Notes
- Caregivers are not expected to rotate between day and night shifts
- Occasional shift changes may occur for urgent staffing needs
- Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s
- More than 2 weeks of requested time off will not be considered for a 26-week contract

Orientation / Compliance
- Alaska Food Worker Certification is obtained during on-site orientation
- One-time $10 fee applies for the Alaska Food Worker Certification
Travel / Housing
- Shuttle to and from Anchorage is paid by the facility at the beginning and end of the assignment
- Local shuttle in Seward is available for local transportation needs
