Job Summary
- Shift: 3x12 Night shifts
- Unit: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Float Requirement: Must float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, 6 weekend shifts total
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in MS/Telemetry
- Prior Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Licensure: Valid District of Columbia RN license (pending DC license accepted with proof at submission; must have license in hand before start)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC approved
- Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:
- Minimum overall score of 80%
- 100% score on lethal rhythms section
- Skills required:
- MS/Telemetry nursing
- Telemetry and cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Feeding tube care and management
- IV therapy including PICC line and peripheral line management & IV starts
- Skills preferred: Charge nurse experience

Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including multi-state and federal searches
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption (strict guidelines)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella documentation or titer
- Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency
- N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start date
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
