Job Opportunity: Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position with a schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with Wednesdays off. The role primarily involves infusion nursing with approximately 70% oncology-based therapy and 30% blood transfusion, IVIG, hydration, and iron administration.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in oncology infusion or related specialty
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have chemotherapy certification and 2+ years of experience
• Preferred years of experience: 1-2 years (minimum 2 years required due to first-timer condition)

Required Certifications and Licenses

• RN License: Valid California Registered Nurse license required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Chemotherapy Certification (CHEMO CERT) - mandatory for this position
• Other certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS) but BLS and CHEMO are mandatory

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to provide documentation for:

  • Background checks (including multi-state and federal checks)
  • Drug screening (10-panel within 90 days)
  • Immunizations and health screenings (e.g., TB test, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Flu vaccine, COVID vaccine or declination)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start date
  • Respirator fit testing (for travel candidates)
• Completion of required WorkRamp modules and facility-specific training prior to start
• References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
