Position Overview

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

• State License Verification (Primary Source within 30 days of start)

Required Background Checks and Verifications

• 7 Year Criminal Background Check (felony checks)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check (within 3 months of start, monthly thereafter)
• HHS/OIG check (within 3 months of start, monthly thereafter)

Health and Compliance Requirements

Candidates must complete all health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of signing the contract:

• Physical Exam (within 1 year, updated annually)
• Fit Mask Test (within 1 year, updated annually; acceptable masks: Halyard duckbill 1870+, 1860 Regular, 1860 Small; PAPR allowed if failed)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year; includes Qgold, Tspot, or 2-Step PPD; additional requirements if positive)
• TB Questionnaire (required in lieu of annual TB test renewal)
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines; age exemption if born before 1957
  • Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; age exemption if born before 1957
  • Rubella: Positive titer or 1 MMR/Rubella vaccine; age exemption if born before 1957
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, completed series, or declination; dialysis candidates require additional titers
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history; boosters or declination accepted
• Drug Testing (within 30 days of start; includes amphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy, fentanyl, heroin, opiates)
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
• Eye Exam (Snellen, within 1 year)
• COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
