Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 4x10 hour days (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM), may change during interview
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:1 in procedure room
- 1:3-4 in prep/hold areas
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Travel Experience: Preferred but not required; first-time travelers accepted
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- License Requirement: Must have Kentucky Radiation License upon start (pending submissions accepted)
- Certifications Required:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Additional Preferences: Some Impella device experience preferred
- Flu Vaccine: Required, no exemptions accepted for travelers
- Local Candidates: Accepted within a 65-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Kentucky
- Valid Kentucky Radiation License
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only, RQI acceptable)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification and official transcripts/diplomas as applicable
- Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
- Drug screening: Negative 13-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit mask test (N95) within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 2 months of start, with annual updates
- Immunizations required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccines or positive titers, no declinations accepted)
- Flu seasonal vaccination documentation for 2025-26 season required
- COVID-19 vaccination, exemption, or declination required for reporting (will not prevent start)
- Proof of 2 clinical references
- Complete employment application including 7-year work history
- Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry check required
Additional Notes
- Hard documentation due date: Tuesday prior to start week by 5 PM PST
- Badge photo required prior to start (specific background and appearance guidelines)
- Various facility-specific agreements and acknowledgments must be reviewed and signed
- Orientation and competency exams required, updated annually as applicable
This position offers a structured 4-day workweek with competitive patient ratios in a Cath Lab setting, ideal for Radiology/Cardiology technologists with at least 2 years of experience and required certifications. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Compliance with strict vaccination and background check policies is mandatory.
