Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - LTC (Travel/Contract)
Location: Union, South Carolina
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description
- Work in Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
- Patient ratios range from 1:22 up to 1:44; must be comfortable managing high patient loads
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
- Start date: ASAP
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina (pending licenses accepted if obtained before start)
- Minimum 1 year of Nursing Home experience within the last year
- Experience in a Long Term Care setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Comfortable working with high patient ratios in LTC environment
- Must comply with attendance policy: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to contract review/cancellation
Preferred Certifications (as applicable)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - preferred for RNs
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Social Security Card (if used for I9 verification)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Background check: 7-year criminal history covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, education verification, sex offender registry, and other screenings as required
- Primary source verification of RN license and NURSYS verification
- Education verification: diploma or transcript from highest level of nursing education (associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate)
- Facility-specific documents including photo for badge and compliance checklists
- Physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet physical demands of the position
- Fit mask test within 1 year (N-95 or approved alternatives)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start (facility-specific form required)
- Immunizations/vaccinations or approved exemptions for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series, titer, or declination)
- Drug screening within 90 days of start (10-panel plus Oxycodone and Marijuana)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declining during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 and 2 required or declination form)
Testing and Competency
- Pass/fail testing on cardiac arrhythmia and medication dosage calculations on first day of orientation (two attempts allowed)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required annually
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Additional competency exams and testing as required by unit
Additional Notes
- References: 2 references within 1 year of start required (Qualivis requirement)
- Employment application required
- South Carolina SLED criminal records search required for all candidates regardless of residency
- No local candidates accepted within 75 miles radius
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application; no changes accepted after submission
