- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Total 36 hours per week

Job Description
- Provide quality patient care in Adult Critical Care, PICU, and NICU settings
- Perform blood gas lab procedures and diagnostic testing
- Obtain, analyze, and record blood gas results
- Conduct quality control and preventative maintenance on blood gas equipment
- Manage mechanical and non-invasive ventilation
- Consult with nursing, ancillary, and medical staff regarding respiratory care
- Recommend plans of care to improve patient outcomes
- Educate and instruct patients, families, staff, and physicians as needed
- Assist with advanced procedures such as intubations, bronchoscopy, and tracheostomy
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- ALS certification
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Perform or assist with advanced procedures: intubations
- Perform or assist with advanced procedures: bronchoscopy
- Perform or assist with advanced procedures: tracheostomy
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Background check within 6 months including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years; updated annually
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance (results within 30 days of start, renewed every 5 years)
- Physical exam within 6 months of start (signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA), updated annually
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- TB test: QuantiFERON lab only within 6 months (TSPOT and PPD not accepted)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters or declination accepted
- Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination
- Annual flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Annual fit mask test with approved masks (3M 1860 Regular or Small)
- Two professional references from the last 2 years (state mandated for direct patient contact)
- Annual skills checklist
