Job Opportunity: Trauma ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend required, no on-call
- Float assignment: May be required to float to all hospital areas including ICU, TCU, and Emergency Department for ICU and TCU holds
- Unit: Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
Additional Requirements & Information
- Candidates must submit requests for time off with application; additional requests after signing are at manager discretion
- Blocked scheduling options may be considered (weekend blocks or 6 on/8 off schedule)
- Free parking available in campus garage
- Photo for badge with plain white/off-white background required prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and post-start orientation checklists required
- Online training for Abiomed Impella device required annually for ICU staff (completed outside of LMS)
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health required for new candidates
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers accepted

- This is a trauma ICU position requiring strong critical care skills and flexibility to float to related units
- The facility is a large academic medical center providing tertiary care
- Candidates must be able to comply with all facility-specific compliance and documentation requirements prior to start
