Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down Unit (Nights)

Location: Port Huron, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Deliver nursing care within the assigned unit following hospital policies, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
• Work in a Step Down unit with 36 private treatment rooms.
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
• Night shift, 12 hours per day.
• Dress code: Navy Blue.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Stepdown nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Strong cardiac experience and proficiency.
• Stepdown unit experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Information

• Orientation program tailored to individual needs is provided.
• Ongoing staff development includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), wound care, and pain management training.
• The unit offers a diverse patient population and a variety of clinical experiences supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists.
