RN - Med Surg

Overview

Travel RN position in med-surg.
36 hours per week.
13-week contract.
3 openings: 3.3 FTEs on days and 4.5 FTEs on nights.
Shift: 0645P-1915A.
Every other weekend.

Unit

45-bed unit.
Patient ratio: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights.
Float required.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
ACLS
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year

Preferred

PALS.
Travel experience.

Unit Patient Population

Medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic, general surgery, and urology.
Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and PNA.
Pediatric patients may be admitted to the general floor; PALS is needed to care for them.

This hospital is hands down the least toxic hospital I have ever had the privilege of working. I absolutely love the people I work with. Everyone I come into contact with likes what they do and they do it with passion. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s close.
