Schedule

• 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• On-call 1–2 times per week and every 3rd weekend
• May float between two campuses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Unit / Case Mix

• Primarily OR cases
• Limited pediatric cases (orthopedics only)
• Adult and geriatric patients
• Surgical cases include orthopedics, podiatry, hand, spine/crani, general surgery, and urology

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol
• Monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
