Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • ICU unit with 21 beds and 45 staff members
  • Day shift: 1 Charge Nurse (no patient assignment), 6-8 nurses
  • Night shift: similar staffing as day shift
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio:
    • Standard ICU: 2:1
    • Step-down patients: 3:1
    • Very high acuity: 1:1
  • Equipment used: Hospira IV pumps
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
  • Intensivist coverage 24/7
  • Small community hospital setting with mostly elective patients
  • Magnet designated facility

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
