Registered Nurse (Rehab) - Travel Position

Location: Greenwood, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital focused on recovery from severe injury or illness.
• Provide customized, intense rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
• Support comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs aimed at maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life.
• Accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 59
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 or 7:1
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Hours: Every third weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Med Surg nursing experience

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Patient population includes adults recovering from:

  • Amputation
  • Stroke
  • Brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Cardiac conditions
  • Debility

Additional Information

• No required certifications beyond RN license
• No float or call requirements
• First day instructions include reporting at 6:30 AM, wearing navy scrubs, and checking in with the House Supervisor
