Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 23 beds
- Telemetry monitoring is used on the unit
- Floating is within alike areas
- Every other weekend required
Patient Population
- Cardiac medical patients, including stable MI, heart failure, new onset Afib, stable dysrhythmias, and procedural cardiac patients
- Additional patients may include ICU transfers, neuro patients with CVA, and pulmonary patients requiring Bipap, Hi-flow, or Salter
Common Procedures / Skills
- Cardiac caths without intervention
- Pacers, ablations, cardioversions, and EP studies
- Cardiac drips, including amiodarone, diltiazem, dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, Lasix, and insulin
Preferred Background
- Cardiac telemetry skill set
- Strong medical-surgical background with telemetry
Work Environment
- Hospital scrubs required
