Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Night shift (7pm - 7am)
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend hours required every other weekend
• No call required

Unit and Patient Population

• Emergency Department in a critical access hospital (25 beds)
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• Patient ratio approximately 1:2.5
• Cares for all ages and a wide range of illnesses and injuries
• One of only two RNs working in the department, requiring a high skill level
• The hospital is the only one within 40 miles of a trauma center, handling all sick and injured patients in the area

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
