Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care

Location

  • Utica, New York

Schedule

  • Night shift
  • 36 hours per week
  • 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
  • Intermediate Care experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • Experience with Epic

Job Details

  • Local candidates accepted within 75 miles
  • Floating required
  • EPIC experience required

Unit Overview

  • Intermediate care unit with 64 beds, including 15 designated neuro beds
  • Adult patients
  • Common clinical areas include neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and stepdown care
  • Examples of patient conditions include COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op care

Equipment / Clinical Support

  • Temporary pacer
  • Chest tubes
  • Arterial lines
  • BiPAP
  • Neptune
  • Chronic vents with respiratory therapy support
