Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care

Location

Utica, New York

Schedule

Night shift
36 hours per week
6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Contract Length

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
Intermediate Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Experience with Epic

Job Details

Local candidates accepted within 75 miles
Floating required
EPIC experience required

Unit Overview

Intermediate care unit with 64 beds, including 15 designated neuro beds
Adult patients
Common clinical areas include neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and stepdown care
Examples of patient conditions include COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op care

Equipment / Clinical Support

Temporary pacer
Chest tubes
Arterial lines
BiPAP
Neptune
Chronic vents with respiratory therapy support
