Location: Frederick, Maryland
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Job Overview
Join a large multidisciplinary team of approximately 40 clinicians in a fast-paced hospital environment. Treat a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care caseloads. The focus will be on treatment including morning ADLs, 1:1 treatment, and facilitating group treatment.
Requirements
- Degree from an ACOTE accredited school
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland
- Minimum 1 year hospital acute care experience (higher experience requirement confirmed)
- Experience running Occupational Therapy groups is a plus
- Strong documentation skills in an EMR system (preferably hospital-based)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely using web-based EMR software
- Meet clinical, departmental, and regulatory expectations (productivity standards 65%-75% daily)
- Conduct patient and family education
- Participate in a positive work environment promoting teamwork and communication
