Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT (must be registered with NDMIRT)
- Radiation Badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start
- If ARRT credentialed, must hold an active North Dakota Radiologic Technologist License
- If RCIS credentialed, no ND license required and not responsible for panning/activating fluoroscopy
Experience & Skills
- Specialty years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year typical for Cath Lab Tech roles
- Scrubbing and/or panning experience required (majority of role is panning)
- Experience with IABP, Impella, Shockwave (preferred), Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, 4 port manifold

Work Environment & Duties
- Department: Cath Lab Tech
- Number of labs: 3
- Average cases per day: 4
- Common procedures: Emergent Revascularization, Left and Right Heart Catheterization (LHC, RHC), ATK Peripheral Diagnostic/Interventional, Cardioversion, TEE, Device implantation, Pericardiocentesis, Temporary Pacemaker
- Job duties: Scrubbing in and/or panning, IV starts
- EMR/Equipment: EPIC, Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, 4 quart manifold
- Cardiologist coverage: Intensivist MD in-house 24/7
- Charge nurse present on each shift (charge nurse takes assignment)
- Cath Lab Techs are Rad Techs
Schedule & Call
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM plus call
- Call requirements:
- 1-2 weeknights per week (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every third weekend on call (Friday to Monday morning, 24-hour coverage)
- Every other holiday on call
- Call response time: 20 minutes
- Scheduling: Team lead manages scheduling, posted 17 days prior for 6-week blocks
Orientation & Additional Information
- Orientation: 1 week classroom and lab
- Floating: May assist Heart and Vascular Pre/Post units as needed
- Scrub color/dress code: Provided
- Lead provided on assignment
- Bring your own lock for locker and hospital-designated shoes
Other Notes
- Radius rule: Must live within 50 miles; candidates may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)
- Return to Office (RTO) needed upfront (7 or fewer days for 13-week contract); no additional RTO approved after submission
