Job info

Registered Nurse (STICU) - Night Shift

Location: Albany, Georgia
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Shift: Nights (7p-7a)
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Patient Ratio: Typically 2:1, sometimes 1:1 for higher acuity patients
Unit Size: 20 beds

Unit & Patient Population

Specialized in neuro patients with brain herniation and brain drains
Ortho trauma patients requiring traction
Cardiovascular device management including balloon pumps, Impellas, and Ekos
Post-op open-heart CABG patients
Open abdomen cases often requiring bedside re-opening
ECMO program starting soon
Renal patients requiring bedside CRRT management by RNs
Medical ICU patients may be admitted when other units are full

Required Qualifications

Current RN license
ACLS certification
BLS (AHA) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience in ICU or STICU settings, preferably in level 1-2 trauma centers
Experience with specialized cardiovascular and neuro critical care devices and procedures

Additional Information

Strict 75-mile radius travel restriction applies
Every other weekend work schedule
