30 beds
Patient population includes medical patients and post-op/surgical patients

Required Qualifications

Active BLS
California RN license
2-3 years of experience in the specialty
Prior travel experience
Must be able to read and interpret dysrhythmias

Schedule and Work Expectations

4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Holidays are worked into the permanent staff rotation
First to float
Team player

Float Scope

May float to telemetry at a 1:4 ratio
May also float between Med Surg floors

Additional Details

Charge nurse provides clinical supervision and break relief, and does not take a patient assignment
Nurse aides: 2 on days, 1 on nights
Tele box is portable if needed
Monitor tech is available
No vents
Hospitalist is in house 24/7
RT is available 24/7
Pharmacy is available 24/7
1 shift of floor-specific orientation
Navy scrubs
COVID vaccine required

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.

Cons

The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
