Med Surg RN
Overview
- Travel assignment in Redding, California
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- Med Surg unit
- 30 beds
- Patient population includes medical patients and post-op/surgical patients
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS
- California RN license
- 2-3 years of experience in the specialty
- Prior travel experience
- Must be able to read and interpret dysrhythmias
Schedule and Work Expectations
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
- Holidays are worked into the permanent staff rotation
- First to float
- Team player
Float Scope
- May float to telemetry at a 1:4 ratio
- May also float between Med Surg floors
Additional Details
- Charge nurse provides clinical supervision and break relief, and does not take a patient assignment
- Nurse aides: 2 on days, 1 on nights
- Tele box is portable if needed
- Monitor tech is available
- No vents
- Hospitalist is in house 24/7
- RT is available 24/7
- Pharmacy is available 24/7
- 1 shift of floor-specific orientation
- Navy scrubs
- COVID vaccine required
