Job Description

• Scrub cases in the cardiac cath lab, with preference for Interventional Radiology (IR) cases.
• Procedures include:

  • Left and right heart catheterizations
  • Peripheral angiographies
  • Pulmonary and peripheral thrombectomies
  • Kyphoplasty procedures
  • Port and tunneled line placements
  • Drain placements
  • Ablations
  • Epidural injections
• Equipment used:

  • Siemens C-arm
  • Sonosite ultrasound
• The unit has 2 procedure rooms.
• Dress code requires surgical scrubs in procedure rooms (provided by hospital).
• Schedule typically involves a call rotation: one week on, one week off, Wednesday to Tuesday every other week.
• No floating to other units.
• The unit is cath lab heavy with IR capabilities; cath lab experience is required, and IR training is provided if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience of at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Shift Details

• 10-hour day shifts
• Approximately 40 hours per week

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the location are preferred.
• Candidates should be prepared for a 1099 contract arrangement.
• Candidates should disclose any required time off in advance.
