Perform routine and critical respiratory care procedures under supervision.
Provide care for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations.
Disassemble, clean, dry, and package respiratory equipment.
Evaluate patient respiratory care outcomes according to care plans.
Prepare, test, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment for safe operation.
Report malfunctioning equipment to management.
Accurately document respiratory care procedures, patient responses, and compliance in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Complete assessments on ventilator patients and others receiving respiratory care.
Recommend timely interventions or referrals as needed.
Communicate adverse effects and compliance issues to physicians and respiratory care practitioners.
Evaluate patients for respiratory therapy in inpatient units and the Emergency Room.
Obtain and analyze arterial, venous, and capillary blood gases.
Assist with cleaning and stocking respiratory care equipment and supplies on inpatient units.

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Clinical judgment skills
