Radiologic Technologist

Overview

• Location: Normal, Illinois
• Setting: Invasive lab / cardiac cath and interventional procedures
• Schedule: Nights, 4x10s
• Contract length: 20 weeks
• Call: Rotation; independent call expected within 6 months

Role Summary

• Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, neuro interventional, and interventional radiology procedures
• Assists with imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, procedure setup, patient care, and documentation
• Floats within the department as needed, including Prep and Recovery

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist experience
• 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience
• Associate's degree in radiologic technology or certificate of completion in radiologic technology
• IEMA Radiography License
• BLS
• ACLS
• ARRT (R)

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material when applicable
• Circulates, scrubs, and/or monitors invasive procedures
• Verifies patient identity and procedure details
• Maintains procedural documentation
• Troubleshoots imaging, monitoring, and PACS issues
• Supports patient safety, comfort, confidentiality, and ALARA adherence
• Uses adjunctive procedural tools as needed
• Assists with inventory and equipment readiness
• Helps orient new staff
