Registered Nurse (RN) - Med ICU

Job Description

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of strong Med ICU or ICU experience, preferably in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Strong experience with central lines, ventilators, and ICU cardiac telemetry.
• Competent to administer blood transfusions.
• IV Certification or strong IV skills with a passed competency exam.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA) certifications required.
