Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health LVN / LPN

Location: Sacramento, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Night shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Patient Population: Adult psychiatric patients including those with:
- ADHD
- Bipolar Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Eating Disorders
- PTSD
- Anxiety Disorder
- Depression / Major Depressive Disorder
- Psychotic Disorder
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Substance Abuse Disorder
- Alcohol or Opiate Withdrawal (usually stable on admission)
- Hypertension, Diabetes
- Geriatric patients at high fall risk
- Patients in pain
- Occasionally patients with wounds
Unit Details & Procedures:
- Use of electronic patient rounding
- Rover system for taking pictures, entering vital signs, and food intake
- Special equipment: ObservSmart
Experience:
- Recent inpatient psychiatric experience preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in California
Minimum of 1 year LPN / LVN experience, with experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Handle With Care, ProAct, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), or Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB)
Behavioral Health experience

No Return to Office (RTO) accepted for this position
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Adult patient population with complex behavioral health needs
Facility uses advanced electronic systems for patient care documentation and monitoring
Religious exemptions for immunizations and fit testing may be considered with proper documentation and approval
