CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: New York, NY
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform both CT scans and X-rays in a specialty orthopedic hospital setting.
  • Dual-modality role requiring operation of Siemens equipment.
  • Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Caseload involves orthopedic exams in exam rooms or via portable equipment.
  • Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU.
  • Daily caseload up to 20 patients.
  • Procedures include:
    • X-ray: Extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, lower and upper extremities.
    • CT: Abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CT angiographies (CTAs), multiplanar reconstruction.
  • Schedule:
    • Training: Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM for first 2 weeks.
    • Regular shift: Wednesday through Saturday, 2:30 PM to Midnight (4x9s with 30-minute lunch).
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment over 150 pounds, with or without assistive devices.
  • Scrubs color: Charcoal grey.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year.
  • IV Certification.
  • ARRT Radiography (R) Certification.
  • ARRT CT Certification.
