Registered Nurse - PACU (Missouri, Columbia)

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Three 12-hour day shifts (9:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Location: Columbia, Missouri
• Call Requirements: Rotating weeknight, weekend, and holiday call
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience required
• Local Candidates: No locals within 50 miles accepted
• Physical Demands: Active role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
• Work Environment: Exposure to contagious illnesses; 24/7 facility operation; must work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
• Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work full contract term at assigned location
  • Ability to work full assigned shifts and take call
  • Ability to work assigned weekends and at least 50% of holidays during contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, including experience within the last year
• At least one completed travel nursing assignment
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience

Additional Notes

• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required
• Must be able to provide photo ID for badge (new candidates only)
• Must complete required competency exams as applicable
• Must comply with facility-specific documentation and screening requirements within specified timeframes

This position is suited for experienced ICU RNs with prior travel experience who are comfortable with rotating shifts, call duties, and working in a high-acuity environment.
