Shift Details

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Total 36 hours per week

Patient Ratio

• 1 nurse to 2 patients

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in Neuro ICU
• May float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including alias and county searches
• FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
• Education verification required (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
• Sex offender search required within 90 days of start
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
• TB screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start or 2-step PPD testing
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
• Immunizations required or proof of immunity for: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement, not client)

• Full 7 years of work history with no gaps, including city and state of employment
• Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
• Must complete and sign facility-specific documents prior to start (e.g., standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreements, regulatory orientation)

Additional Notes

• Locals accepted within 50 miles but at a different pay rate (not included here)
• Pending background check attestation not accepted for this facility; no conditional clearances allowed
• Candidates must complete an Epic questionnaire prior to start (for RNs)
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and training requirements before starting

This position is ideal for experienced Neuro ICU RNs with strong critical care skills, Epic proficiency, and the ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience, with Neuro ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
