Job Overview

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Daily Caseload: 100-120 cases
• Number of Rooms: 5
• Shift Details:

  • Every other weekend required
  • Typical schedule includes:

    • 1 weekend 8-hour shift
    • 1 weekday 8-hour shift
    • 2 weekday 12-hour shifts
• Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, operating room, emergency room, adult ICU
• Equipment and skills used: PACS, Portables, C-Arm, Contrast studies, Fluoroscopy, EPIC, McKesson
• Types of cases: General radiography for inpatient, outpatient, ED, Fluoroscopy, and OR

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in New Hampshire
• Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• Proficient in performing portable X-rays
• Experience with contrast studies
• Skilled in imaging of head, chest/thorax, and lower extremities
• Experience with fluoroscopy studies and enema studies
• Experience in surgery settings including use of C-Arm
• Demonstrated X-Ray Technician experience across multiple modalities and settings

Orientation and Training

• Unit orientation: Day shift training from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pass/fail testing for EKG/Dysrhythmia required onsite during orientation for certain units
• Facility requires documentation of OSHA education (Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check required within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security verification
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • National criminal search
  • FACIS Level 3
  • Education verification
  • State and county criminal searches (excluding NH counties; NH State Police search required)
  • Motor vehicle background check if driving to patient homes (with specific criteria)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• SSA release form required for Social Security verification
• Statewide releases required for New Hampshire (and Massachusetts if applicable)
• Transcript or diploma accepted if education verification is pending
• Facility requires a copy of professional license for states without paperless licensing

Additional Notes

• Travelers located within 50 miles of the facility are accepted as locals (rate difference applies, but pay details are excluded here)
• No call or float requirements
• Travelers who have ever been employed by the associated health system are not eligible
• Passport-style photo required for badge
• Proof of auto insurance required if applicable (e.g., home health or hospice care)
• Facility-specific waiver forms required for medical or religious exemptions related to flu, Tdap, and Hepatitis B vaccines
• Annual fit mask test required for clinical candidates (N95 or equivalent masks); CAPR training available onsite if needed
• Internal evaluation required annually for travelers employed a year or more with the agency

This position offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of radiology cases and advanced technology in a community and teaching hospital setting. It is suitable for Radiology Technologists with at least 2 years of experience and the required certifications, who are comfortable with a rotating weekend schedule and multiple shift lengths.
