Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel/Contract)

Location: Redding, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Travel/contract position in an ambulatory operating room setting.
• Work 32 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Variable day shift start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM.
• Facility provides scrubs.
• First and last week of contract are not guaranteed.
• Shifts confirmed or canceled up to 2 hours in advance.
• Any week with restrictions to time off (RTO) that prevent meeting scheduling requirements is not guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in an outpatient setting.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Certifications: BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Orientation & Training

• Virtual New Employee Orientation (NEO) held weekly on Mondays (4 hours).
• Required eLearnings completed during NEO (4 hours).
• Epic training available bi-weekly on Fridays (5 hours).
• Unit orientation consists of one scheduled shift after completion of NEO, eLearnings, and Epic training.

Scheduling & Shift Details

• Workdays: Monday through Friday only.
• Shift length: 8 hours per day, typically 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Clinician must provide 5 days of availability (Monday to Friday).

Additional Information

• This is an earning power contract.
• Clinicians are booked directly with the facility based on need.
