Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
- On-Call: Required 1 day per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend (24/7 on-call availability)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 75 miles)
- Pending License: Accepted
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit (verify during onboarding)

Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide and nationwide)
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required
- State-specific background checks and registries as applicable
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include comprehensive panel
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing required annually (N95 respirators)
- Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB screening, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Various facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, and latex allergy questionnaire must be completed prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required annually
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
- Employment application must be submitted and approved
- Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Orientation modules completion required through online platform

- Candidates must be prepared for on-call responsibilities and weekend work.
- This position requires strict adherence to facility policies and annual renewals of certifications and compliance documents.
- Floating outside of the Cath Lab scope is not permitted.
